Energiekontor sells wind park to Austrian power utility company

Energiekontor (XETRA: EKT), a German project developer and operator of wind and solar parks, has sold the wind park “Völkersen” to an Austrian power utility company.

The wind park is located in the municipality of Langwedel in the county Verden in Lower Saxony and is expected to be fully operational in 2022. The park consists of two wind turbines with a combined generation capacity of 11.2 MW. The annual yield of the wind park is expected to be more than 28m kilowatt-hours, which is enough to provide green energy to almost 10,000 average German households.

The wind park has been bought by an Austrian power utility company that, for many years, has a clear focus on electricity generation from renewable energy sources. Once the wind park is fully operational, Energiekontor will be in charge of technical and commercial management.
