Hydrogen Vehicles and Stations in France by 2028

The potential for hydrogen in France in the transportation sector is large, however, the targets to be realized are wide-ranging.

Targets from France’s NECP

According to France’s National energy and climate plan (NECP), the targets for hydrogen in the transport sector include:

The number of hydrogen light commercial vehicles is expected to reach 500 in 2023 and between 20,000 to 50,000 by 2028.

The number of hydrogen heavy goods vehicles is expected to reach 200 in 2023 and between 800 to 2,000 by 2028.

Targets for the development of recharging infrastructures for hydrogen vehicles indicate building 100 stations in 2023 and between 400 to 1,000 stations by 2028.

In the context of hydrogen stocks, you can analyze French public hydrogen companies: McPhy Energy S.A. (MCPHY.PA), and Haffner Energy (ALHAF).
